Siberian Cats and Russian Proverbs

RedditBlogger PostPinterestGoogle+Google GmailTwitterFacebookTumblrDeliciousWordPressShare

There’s a famous old Russian proverb (Siberian if you really want to be specific) and it goes like this: He who wears cat on face doesn’t freeze nose off.

Alright. You got me. I made it up! Still, there’s some hard logic in there and if you were to analyze it, it means “We get it. It’s cold outside. So do what you need to stay warm, even if it means attaching one (possibly 3) cats to your head.”

Well, that was possibly both the best and worst segue to re-introduce Midna the Siberian cat who’s doing that thing that she does, i.e., looking pretty for the camera or hanging out in crunchy wrapping paper.

  2. My human would like to bury her nose in Midna’s fur… and it isn’t even that cold here!

  3. She is absolutely beautiful. I take from this that it’s cold where you are. We are probably not as cold, but it’s 23 and we’ve had sleet and freezing rain. No snow this time.
