Game of Paws

I swear, I pressed ‘Publish’ instead of ‘Draft’ and changed it back to ‘Draft’ within 10 seconds, and yet the half written post still ended up in our RSS feed. Pretty rabid of the news feed don’t you think? Like, can you give us a second? How irritating.

Anyway, as I was trying to say, our neighbour Charlotte has a serious reputation across the realm as a complete chicken. Saying that she’s scared of her own shadow would be an understatement. She’s afraid of her shadow’s shadow.

So this is what happened. Marjo, in all her pomposity, comes on the scene with her lion cut and she’s ready to fight because a) she doesn’t get along with other cats, and b) shes truly believes that she’s the rightful heiress to the throne:

Charlotte’s not really sure what to do, but she better figure it out because Marjo is quickly claiming her space as her own, since she ran out of shits to give a long time ago. Think, dammit! Think!

Turns out, Charlotte does have it in her to defend the homestead and reign supreme. Marjo skulks away, defeated.

Victorious, Charlotte reclaims the Iron Throne, I mean The Patio, as her own and proceeds to rule Westeros with an iron paw. I mean, The Backyard.

  1. Charlotte’s face - all fluffy and fierce and determined - reminds my human SO much of the cat before me! She was extra-good at defending her turf!

  4. Oh my goodness, such intrigue, such drama! It’s like watching an episode of that horribly complicated tv show with the billions of characters that get their heads chopped off and raise dragons and climb walls and all fight about who’ll get to rule. Um, wait a minute…..

So anyway, Marjo is totally a Finnish name.
