What do you think has gotten Dobson so spooked and gave him that arched back? Look at his puffed up tail and his posture. His back is arched in that classic cat defensive stance and he’s making himself appear larger as cats do when they feel threatened. Not only is he using his body language, but his face is clearly showing some concern. But don’t worry, Dobson was never in any kind of danger!

That back is arched and every hair is standing on edge. What’s going on? And look at the size of Dobson’s tail!

Here’s a closeup of his paw taking some very tentative steps! But don’t worry, it all turned out fine. He only caught sight of a friends dog which is what almost made him have an involuntary bowel movement!

Oh sweet Dobson, it’s gonna be okay!

Posted by Cheryl P. | August 3, 2012, 2:26 pmAs scared as he looked, he was still willing to get close to get the whole story for himself. He calmed down pretty quick.
Posted by dobson | August 4, 2012, 9:23 amWhy yes, something is clearly up. I wonder what it is.
Posted by Cheysuli | August 3, 2012, 2:28 pmThat’s quite a tail you have there, Dobson. I had a cat who could sense a dog being walked down the street, which she could neither hear nor see. Cats are very in tune with their surroundings.

Posted by dobson | August 4, 2012, 9:04 amI bet you scared that doggie off, Dobson!
